Of Our Grandfathers Installation
Friday February 12, 2010 - Opening Night at the Lobby Gallery
An art and video installation by father and son team, Alonzo and Seth Felder. This
exhibit centers around Alonzo Felder's maternal great grandfather, A. S. J. Allen (a
bigger than life father, preacher, teacher, and community leader, who had his life
taken by a neighboring farmer), and grandfather, Ned E. Felder (a WWI veteran, who
made headlines by being accused of disloyalty to the US). The artists use these
dignified and diverse images of African Americans and legal documents to teach our
contemporary society many lessons about respect, the importance of elders, faith,
and other themes
Legends, Heroes, and Leaders Group Exhibition
Friday February 12, 2010 - Opening night at the Mezzanine Gallery.
The exhibition was curated by Eric McRay, celebrating African American Heritage
month and the 50th anniversary of the start of the sit-in demonstrations in North
Carolina.
The Debut Exhibition
Friday February 26, 2010 - The Debut is the Common Seam Collective's first official
exhibition featuring textile design and fiber art by: Gabrielle Duggan, Meghan
Holliday, Liz Morrison,Shelley Smith, and Amy Quinn.

August 27, 2010 - Raleigh artists banded together and hosted a fundraiser for the
two North Carolina Chapters of Surfrider Foundation, at Solas Lounge, Raleigh, NC
Artists Unite for Haiti Benefit Exhibition
January 21, 2011 - An international Exhibition to help Haitian people. All funds were
donated directly to Mercy Corps. Over 400 artists from 18 different countries
participated in this event at Solas Lounge, Raleigh, NC

June 2, 2011 - Event video of the screening of a documentary film produced by
Georges Le Chevallier and directed by Robert King of Octave Blue Entertainment,
at Mission Valley Theaters, shot by Joe Bruno and edited by Will Campbell (with
clips of 3 THE HARD WAY documentary)
All proceeds from this screening went to help 3 THE HARD WAY director Robert

VAE Collector's Print Portfolio Opening Reception
November 4, 2011 - Opening Reception for the 2011 VAE Collector's Print Portfolio
at Visual Art Exchange, Raleigh, NC and curated by Bloc Projects' Director of
Creative Projects Georges Le Chevallier. Each Collectors Print Portfolio contains
15 echo-friendly archival prints by prominent Raleigh artists in a folder silk-screen
by the talented Adam Peele. Each work of art is signed and numbered as a limited
edition of 50 and is printed in recycled, acid free paper by Barefoot Press. A limited
number of these portfolios will be for sale at VAE for $500 each.
Trailer for the Bloc Animation Project 2012
January 30, 2012 - The Animation Project is an annual feature-length theatrical
release displaying a collection of short animated films by up and coming as well
as established animators from around the World. Throughout the year The
Animation Project travels to different theaters to showcase the work of these
amazing filmmakers.
First Nightstallation 2010
On December 31, 2009, as part of the First Night Raleigh 2010 celebration in
Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh, we created an interactive street installation
tilted: First Nightstallation 2010. We asked the visitors to this event the following:
1. Arrange the movable objects in front of the backdrop to create a rich visual
composition.
2. Sign the backdrop and write your dreams and/or goals for the new decade.
3. Immortalize the moment with their cell phone camera and email us their picture
to be part of an online exhibition.
4x24 Photography Exhibition
August 10, 2012 - Born at the advent of the digital age, four photographers: Gerri
Fernandez, Adam Hajnos, Julian Thomas and Nathan Wellman, all twenty-four,
